We took all of the first round teams of the 2014 NCAA Lacrosse Tournament and broke down each roster and divided the players by state and province. Since all of the rosters had to be checked by hand, we can promise that a ton of effort was put forth, but our numbers could be slightly off (nobody’s perfect)!

UVA was up 5-2 on Cornell in the second quarter and looking to improve to 7-0. Cornell said not so fast, scored 9 straight goals, and took a commanding 11-5 lead. Cornell ended up winning the game 12-9 as UVA tried to claw their way back in, but to no avail.

Virginia vs. Syracuse is always one of of the games I circle on the calendar every season. The teams are perennial powerhouses in lacrosse, and their matchup is always entertaining. This year the game has more meaning with Syracuse joining the ACC, making it the first conference game between the Cavaliers and the Orange. There’s no other way to describe this one besides epic.
