Kyle Harrison’s 5 Greatest TV Shows Of All Time

Fresh Prince

#1 Fresh Prince

Easily the best show OF ALL TIME!! IMO there hasn’t been another show in which EVERY actor/actress in the show was absolutely perfect for their role. Clearly Will Smith was out of control and perfect for leading the show. Dude’s work ethic is crazy out of control (watched a story on the show and apparently Will memorized EVERYONE’s lines the first few years of the show and if you look closely, you can see him mouthing the words). But, Carlton, Hilary, Ashley, Vivian, Jazzy Jeff, Phil, and all of the other supporting actors/actresses were absolutely perfect. It was a sad day when this show came to an end. I own all the seasons, and there are ton’s of hilarious episodes, but one of my favorites is when the car breaks down, and Carlton and Will have to ski to safety.

chappelleshow

#2 Chappelle’s Show

The funniest sketch comedy show of our generation. I wish everyday that it would come back. Black Real World, and Clayton Bigsby were my two favorite skits.

#3 Friends

I know, it pains me to say this just as much as it pains you to read this. Even though I jumped on the band wagon about 3 years too late, but it was a hilarious show. Similar to Fresh Prince, I feel like ever character on that show did a good job carrying their own weight. Ross was my favorite character on that show by far because homeboy was SO animated and stupid.

the-cosby-show

#4 Cosby Show

Any black dude in my generation has to have the Cosby show in their top 5! It was back in the lower school days, but I remember watching that show religiously. Bill Cosby is hysterical, and while I don’t necessarily enjoy the episodes (when I catch them on rerun) now all that much, back in it’s prime that show was legit.

saved_by_the_bell-show

#5 Saved by the Bell

Yup, this definitely makes the list. Saturday mornings were OFF THE CHAINS back when this was on. Looking back, Slater’s pants were usually too tight, and his hair cut was questionable, and the majority of the stuff Zack pulled off was crazy as well (not to mention his awkwardly big cell phone). The show was ahead of it’s time for sure. But, the college years were WACK.

Honorable Mention

prison_break

Prison Break: Loved it, but a show based on breaking out of prison shouldn’t go on for 5 or 6 seasons, considering they broke out in the first season…

x-men

X-Men: The Cartoon was OFF the chains. Anyone remember that? I used to watch that joint just as much as Saved by the Bell.

in_living_color-show

In Living Color: Had I been a little older when this was on air, I bet it would be in my top five. I remember being young, and getting some of the humor, but being confused at a lot of it as well. I’ve clearly seen reruns, and this show was hilarious.

martin_tvshow

Martin: Hilarious

runshouse

Run’s House: GREAT show and in my opinion shows people how a family should function, they have their ups and downs, but at the end of the day always love and support each other.
