The Bear Paw
I’m getting the shop in order, including fixing my big, giant boat, and or course, making more wooden lacrosse sticks. On that point, I wanted to bring you guys some of the cooler projects that I’ve been working on in the shop as of late. I did my best to film it, even though my normal media crew, including my lead editor, Joe, aren’t present in the office.
Let’s see what we’ve got.
This was a custom wooden Box Pro, and I’d prefer not to give you guys the names of the recipient. Why? Well, because I’m not sure what the buyer is doing with the stick, or whether it’s a surprise or a gift or anything, so I could spoil something pretty quickly for them if I’m not careful (so don’t ruin it).
The engraving on this was just stunning. This bear graphic, I actually burned it 2 or 3 times so it was nice and deep. It’s a bear walking through the woods within a bear paw. I was really enamored by it, and I thought that you guys would also be moved by it.
I do know that this has some significance to the user, and again, I won’t give you his name, but this really brightened my day. You know, sitting in the wood shop by yourself isn’t the worst place to be, but having a cool project like this Bear Paw come through and being able to spruce up one of my wood lacrosse sticks with something new was a really charming experience.
I hope that the final user loves it, and if he sees it and wants to post this, by all means, go ahead.
Until next time, this is Justin Skaggs telling you to take care, and keep laxin’.
