Tie Up Tuesday: Ryan Hurley of Epoch Lacrosse

Ryan Hurley Stops By Studio 22 For Tie Up Tuesday

Ryan Hurley is a partner at Epoch Lacrosse and also serves as their National Sales Rep.

Recently, Ryan took time to stop by our Studio 22 and tie up The Hawk with a fresh slice of Otter Mesh and one of his favorite pocket setups.

Ryan is a Cornell alumni and chose to show us one of the pockets that he used while playing for the Big Red and that he named “The Flamethrower” pocket.

As you can tell, The Flamethrower is an all-white mesh and shooter combo adorned with red sidewall, bottom and top strings.

During the tie up Ryan showed off some of his own knot styles. If you look closely you can see Ryan using what he calls the “Princess Leia knot!” Look for this knot and others in upcoming tutorials.

Ryan played attack for Cornell before heading on join the Baltimore Bayhawks of the MLL. Ryan’s playing experience and ability was vital to the development of The Hawk as his input and feedback for what players at the highest levels look for. Ryan was critical in the industrial design portion and really knows The Hawk in and out.

Be sure to comment below if you would like this pattern or have any ideas for your own unique pattern for The Hawk!
