The US Lacrosse Convention in Philadelphia is one of the premier lacrosse events in the United States every year. Speakers and clinicians such as Jenny Levy, John Danowski, Shelley Klaes-Bawcombe and Andy Shay are sharing their lacrosse knowledge at this year’s convention, along with other demonstrators and vendors. It is a great opportunity to increase one’s knowledge of the game and learn from the best and brightest.
Besides the workshops, there is also a Fan Fest held, where people can go to get autographs from famous lacrosse players, see gear on display from 150 exhibitors and have a great time reminiscing with old connections in the sport.
This year’s convention is also held in conjunction with a National Lacrosse League game, as the Philadelphia Wings host the league-leading Georgia Swarm in what should be a great matchup. There’s a lot of excitement in Philadelphia, as the Kevin Crowley trade has brought a buzz with him to Philly which the Wings hope will translate into wins.
This year’s convention is a can’t-miss event for any lacrosse enthusiast.
Rich Snow, from Wood Lacrosse Sticks, is part of the Lacrosse All Stars’ team over in Philadelphia at the convention. They’re going to bring you the best sights and sounds from the convention.
Rich stopped by Reading Terminal Market to grab some grub, and is giving us his top-five places to get a bite to eat there. If you’re over at LaxCon, try some of the places on Rich’s list! Also, while you’re at it, listen to today’s episode of The Lacrosse Podcast, hosted by Justin Skaggs and Rich. This week on the show they have Kevin Crowley, as they talk all about the Wings and his trade from the New England Black Wolves. Click here to listen.
