Wales Lacrosse Roster – 2018 FIL Championships

We’re under 30 days from the kickoff of the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championships in Netanya, Israel. This means we are going to be dropping rosters like crazy until we’ve got 23 names that will represent each of the 46 countries preparing for battle. Without further ado, let’s look at the Wales National Team and how they’re stacking up for the games.

The Welsh are gearing up for their 6th ever run at a World Championship, their first in ’98 with an 11th place finish, matched in 2010’s event. They dropped to 17th in 2014, but climbed to 4th in the European Lacrosse Championships in 2016, falling to Finland for Bronze.

(Check out the FULL list of FIL rosters HERE.)

This team should be well tuned up for a big run at cracking the top ten and ultimately into the Blue Division. Before then, they’ve got to get through the Bronze Division first, which features the perennial Bermuda squad and the first-timer, yet expected powerhouse, Puerto Rico. If they stick to their game, they move on. If they overlook these North American-loaded rosters, it could be a tough go for the Dragons.
