Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!
My cousin, when he was 12 years old, said to me “Pastor said if you are the smartest one in your group of friends, you need to find a new group of friends.”
This is probably reasonably, if not wholly, true for many other character traits as well. We should surround ourselves with people that will inspire us, motivate us, and push us to be better than we are. In athletics, you don’t improve by competing against people that are not as talented as you. In business, you don’t grow by hanging around people that don’t know what they are doing. Positioning yourself around people that are doing what we want to do more passionately, more efficiently, more successfully, more lucratively, or in any way better than we are doing it can only benefit us. Make it a point to surround yourself, in all areas of life, with the people that will move you forward.
