None of us needs to know everything about everything. But chances are we do need to know everything about something, and it’s probably to our benefit to know something about a lot of things.
(Un)Fortunately, we live in a world of quick and easy access where we don’t spend as much time learning information, as we do learning how to find it. But great leaders have a knowledge base in their field (either from schooling, experience, or both) that is an extension of their being. They don’t have to look it up. It’s part of their innate toolbox. They are experts. Acquaint yourself well with information that will help you to accomplish a goal. Familiarize yourself with information that you can easily and readily share with somebody else in order to help them along.
