WPLL West Chester, Pennsylvania Games Postponed

The WPLL West Chester, Pennsylvania games that were to be held on July 6 were both called due to inclement weather in the area.

The first game of the evening, a matchup between the Command and the Brave was called at halftime after multiple weather delays due to lightning storms. The score was 7-3 for the Command at the end of the half. The second game of the evening was scheduled to be a contest between the Fire and Pride, but the bad weather meant that game would never get underway.

According to the WPLL, “All fans in attendance will have their tickets honored at a later date.” The WPLL West Chester, Pennsylvania games that were called for lightning are scheduled to be made up later in the season. It is unclear if the games will be played in the same location.

The WPLL Select team had returned from a weekend in England the previous week, as the team of 12 WPLL players played three exhibition games against the English National team ahead of the European championships.

The WPLL actually features three players from Team England:  Ela Hazar, Olivia Hompe and Megan Whittle.

The WPLL has also traveled internationally to Japan, a trip they made last November.
