Zach Mickle: Colonial Clash All-Star Profile

We’re taking a look at the All-Tournament team from PrimeTime Lacrosse‘s Colonial Clash last November. Today we’re showcasing Zach Mickle, a class of 2020 defender on the Fighting Clams, a team representing the Top Gun Fighting Clams.

Mickle is a senior defender for The Rivers School in Weston, Massachusetts, who also produced PrimeTime National Events Director Spencer Low. The Holy Cross commit has been an ISL All-League Honorable Mention (Independent School League – New England) and helped the Red Wings to a 13-6 overall record and a 10-5 record in the ISL.

Mickle is a multi-sport athlete, competing for The Rivers School soccer team as well. The team posted a 9-3-5 record and lost in the NEPSAC quarterfinal to Williston Northampton School.

The long pole from Weston heavily impressed at the PrimeTime Lacrosse Colonial Clash, making the All-Tournament team and landing himself a spotlight all to himself.

Mickle made his original verbal commitment to Holy Cross in 2018. Here is what he was reported as saying about the choice:

“I chose Holy Cross because it was the best fit for me. When I visited the school I immediately knew I belonged there. It is also a good school academically which is extremely important.”

We’ve added a video of some of Zach Mickle’s lacrosse highlights. Keep in mind that this was way back in the summer of 2017 (Zach is part of the 2020 class, so we assume that would put him between his freshman and sophomore year), so while he certainly exhibits a lot of ability in this video, you also know that he has gotten even better since then. You have to be pretty good to get recruited to play NCAA Division I lacrosse.
