KYLAX: Kentucky Stickhorses Black vs. White Scrimmage

Editor’s Note: Muamer Razic lives in Kentucky and will be attending Kentucky Stickhorse games this year.  We still don’t know if the NALL is going to make it, but the Kentucky box lacrosse franchise seems to be doing quite well.  We don’t know what the future holds for the Stickhorses, but we do know they look pretty good right now.  We’re excited for Muamer to stay on top of the team this year!

From what I saw in the video, the Kentucky team looks solid.  Some of these guys were fighting for spots on the roster, so you know they were giving it all they had.  I’ve spoken with the coach and he is happy with the play and effort being given.  Overall, it’s just great to see high quality lacrosse like in Kentucky.  It’s a step above anything we’ve seen in the past, and could help expose a lot of new people, and eventually fans, to the game of lax.

I am really excited to see some high quality box lacrosse up close and in person this year, and not on video.  Being that I live in Kentucky (the southern part), I’ve really never had the opportunity to play, or even go watch, box lacrosse, and that sucks!  But with the advent of the Stickhorses, it looks like all that could now change!

I’m no box lacrosse genius like Connor (EN: let’s not call Connor a genius.  He’s a n00b who’s learning quickly at best), but I watch it more and more and I’m really coming to love it.  Who knows, I may even pick up box lacrosse!

I can’t wait for the Stickhorses home opener.  The scrimmage had about 1,000 people in attendance, so you can only image how many more people will be at the first game!  Seeing lacrosse grow (box or field) in a non-hot bed area is awesome and to see it happen firsthand is something I’m ecstatic to see.  And I can’t wait to see what the games like 10 years from now!
