Zach Palmer And Chazz Woodson Make SportsCenter’s Top Plays

After finally making it to the number 1 spot on Friday, lacrosse returned the next day and claimed two places on the SportsCenter top 10. While these guys aren’t shooting from three miles away like Reid Acton, they’re still quality shots. Three Top Plays in one weekend is the current (very unofficial) record, so stay tuned to see if we can get one more out of Sunday’s Ivy League Championship.  I saw a couple that were pretty excellent!

Checking in at #7 is Hopkins’ Zach Palmer, and this marks his second appearance on Top Plays in 2012 with this goal against Army.

It’s okay Goalie, I don’t know where it went either.

Palmer now leads the league in Top Plays appearances, where he’s strangely been #7 both times. Good that he’s gotten there twice, but he’s been getting robbed in these rankings. What would you rather do: crack the top five once, or make it onto the bottom half twice?  (Editor’s Note: pretty sure we’d be ecstatic with either!)

Speaking of top five, the #2 play belonged to Chazz Woodson and his blatant disregard for the laws of gravity. Here’s Woodson with a dive last night against the Chesapeake Bayhawks.

He plays for the Machine, not the Bayhawks as the ESPN anchor said, but forget that – how great is it to see Chazz Woodson in the MLL again? First game back and he’s already on SportsCenter. Welcome back, Chazz.
