I’m not quite sure what spurred this Al Jazeera (English) story on the state of lacrosse in America. If you go to their website you’ll find that they’re primary focus is on the middle east, and reports regarding the United States generally center on foreign policy. Regardless, they did a pretty fantastic job of summing up where lacrosse fits within the greater context of American sports.
Strong following in the college ranks but struggling to break in to the main stream at the pro level? Sounds about right. Although I’m not sure if I like that they pigeonhole all professional players as attorneys, accountants, and bankers.
