Rhino Lacrosse Academy: West Linn, Day 4

Jumping jacks!

Rhino Lacrosse went out with a bang on Day 4. Coaches helped the campers tune up their games as much as possible in the morning and afternoon drills so each team would be prepared for the playoffs. It was very apparent that all the campers were taking full advantage of the drills and coaching as the level of competition was at an all time high. Each game was decided by only a goal or two, several even going into overtime.

You’ll never know if you don’t try it out.

The week gets better and better as each day passes. As Brett Hughes talked about at the end of his speech yesterday, all of the coaches are there for the campers and are willing to help them in every way, shape and form. During our last day of camp, the constant encouragement of coaches never stopped and campers really began to show off everything they had learned throughout the week.

After lunch, RP treated the campers to a very special and original new contest – The Air Band Competition. This had to be one of the best contests at a camp I have ever seen, and it definitely helped to provide an all-around awesome experience for the campers. Enjoy my friends!

The campers don’t just get a great amount of coaching from these camps, some of them were also lucky enough to receive a custom Nike Vandal Lacrosse shaft. Color me jealous!

One of the things I love most about Rhino Lacrosse Academies goes even further than just lacrosse. While you can’t make a total reformation of your game in four days, you learn a lot if you ask the right questions and listen to the answers. These coaches don’t just focus on teaching you lacrosse skills, they also work very hard to make sure all the campers are becoming better people as well. Especially in today’s day and age, life lessons are hard to come by, and Rhino does a great job of helping out.

Doing their share to help clean-up.

Thanks again for a great week at Rhino Lacrosse. Even as someone who has graduated college and now only coaches and plays Men’s League, I gain an immense amount of knowledge from the great minds that show up to help at Rhino Lacrosse Academies.

Thank you Ryan Powell!

Rhino Lacrosse: West Linn may be complete, but the summer camp circuit is just getting started. Keep up with all the Rhino Camps as the summer progresses.
