Spotted: Rushmore and the NHL

Spotted - lacrosse in unexpected places

Editor’s note: Welcome to another great installment of “Spotted”. With your help, we hope to shine a light on lacrosse spotted in unexpected places, whether it be on TV or in real life. If you find any aspect of lacrosse in a place you didn’t expect it, we would love to hear from you. Take a quick photo or video and email it to info@lacrosseallstars.com.

Our very own Chris Rosenthall sent us this week’s Spotted. While watching the 1998 movie Rushmore, Chris caught a glimpse of the main character, Max Fischer as manager of the lacrosse team. The spotting starts around the 22 second mark.

Bonus Spotted!

Rick Nash (All World NY Rangers player) was recently on the Michael Kay show on ESPN Radio in NY and mentioned lacrosse while discussing how he developed his excellent stick skills.

How he developed his stickhandling, “A lot of days in the garage just playing road hockey. I played lacrosse my whole life. It was something I always worked on and still do.”

Thanks to Spike Malangone for sending that one over!
