Summer Plans? How about Oregon?

Looking to play a little lacrosse this summer? How about a great lacrosse tournament in June to kick-off your summer? Head to Bend, Oregon for the 3rd annual Bigfoot Summer Bend.

The Summer Bender will again coincide with the Bite of Bend celebration. The Bender will be back at the beautiful Big Sky Park complex the weekend of June 28 – 30th, 2013.

This year, the tournament will be expanding its offerings, adding a Women’s Open (18+) Division, as well as a Men’s Masters Division (35+) Division to their already very establish Men’s Open (18+) Division.

I have been fortunate enough to zip on over the past two years to the Bender and have loved the tournament, it is easily one of my new favorites. Bend is a beautiful little town and having the tournament during their Bite of Bend celebration couldn’t be more well timed.

The on-field experience speaks for itself, with LXM Pro players like Kyle Harrison, Maxx Davis and Hamilton Pollard playing during the past two years and a slew of great local MCLA and NCAA players showing up to give it their all.

The off-field experience is just as fun. Bend is home to 14 local breweries include the very well-known Deschutes Brewery and a wealth of great places to eat and be merry. If that isn’t your scene and you still have energy to waste, the recreation side of Bend is just as plentiful.

Also, the Steve Miller Band will be in town that weekend, that’s cool.
