Learning From Yourself

Chazz Woodson - Words of Wisdom

Happy Friday! Don’t compare yourself to others. Compare yourself to the person from yesterday. I’m not there yet, but I’m closer than I was yesterday. It’s very easy to look around and see what other people are doing, what they have, where they are in life. To measure our successes or lack thereof according to the successes of […]

Maintaining Control

Chazz Woodson - Words of Wisdom

Good morning! I just need one little thing to cheer me up. Anything. That’s the tweet that popped up in my timeline last night minutes before I fell asleep. We all hit rough patches; times when we need a little something extra to get us through a situation. Some patches are brief. Some are lengthy. The thing to […]

What Do You Owe?

Chazz Woodson - Words of Wisdom

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! To whom, or for what are you responsible? If our “friends and family” is the best that we can come up with, I think we’re very shortsighted. I don’t expect that we’ll each shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars for every admirable cause on the planet, or hop on the next plane to […]

Temporary Stewards of a Permanent Game

Gordon Corsetti discusses how we are all just temporary stewards of lacrosse. It’s a permanent game, and we are temporary, so how can we impact the sport we all love? Gordon provides some great direction, and lays out The Tenets of the Temporary Lacrosse Steward.

colton raichl

This week, myself and the rest of the Vandal lacrosse team are headed to Missoula Montana for the first fall ball tournament of the year. Value Of Influence

Chazz Woodson - Words of Wisdom

Happy Friday! Whenever I speak to groups, especially student-athletes and other young people, I make sure to mention that we all have a platform and an audience that pays attention to us each and every day. Whether our audience is 5 people or it’s 5,000 people, we have the opportunity to influence somebody’s life. Does that […]

Rabil, Queener, Seibald: Wimmer Stick Tricks

One of the Japanese attendees of last year’s Hawai’i Tournament caught the Wimmer boys “warming up” for an early round game. Paul Rabil, Max Seibald, Brett Queener, and a bunch of other pros are messing around, throwing some tricks, and proving their full belief in the “sun’s out, guns out” mentality.

Average Is My Enemy

Chazz Woodson - Words of Wisdom

Good afternoon! I don’t get any satisfaction from being average. Average represents an acceptance of mediocrity. The day that I’m content with being labeled, categorized, or defined as average or mediocre, will be the day that I’ve officially given up on everything that I’ve ever wanted in life. Even he, who is defined by societal […]

Choose Faith

Chazz Woodson - Words of Wisdom

Good morning! If you have no faith, you’ve lost your battle. – Bill Cosby No matter the battle … on the field, in the classroom, in the workplace, in a relationship … faith may or may not be the catalyst for success, but a lack of faith is the beginning of a commitment to failure. The beauty […]
