Mike Timms is a specimen. One of the top longstick midfielders in the country, he’s setting the tempo for what’s to be expected from future All-American longsticks. Take a look at his bio on the Virginia Lacrosse website and you’ll see exactly what I mean.

Timms’ story is an interesting one – overcoming obstacles has been the theme.  But even with the hardships he’s faced, his lacrosse career continues to flourish.  From his impressive quickness for a big man to his relationship with his teammates and Dom Starsia,  he is the perfect example of a great defensive leader.
