There’s no question that Warrior went a little too far in trying to create excitement with past marketing schemes such as their #NinjaPlease slogan and then using some very well endowed women to market a pair of shoes… they were marketing shoes, right?
I have to say though, after watching their newest ad for the Prequel training shoes, I think they are finally listening to the lacrosse world and trying to get more in touch with their followers.
It’s simple, it gets the message across, and it actually makes me consider clicking through to find out more about the shoes. This is the type of commercial I would want people to see if they were unfamiliar with the sport. It creates curiosity and a little excitement without offending anyone (unless you are a gazelle).
Please don’t get me wrong, I have not forgotten about the two campaigns mentioned earlier, but this is certainly a step in the right direction and hopefully a sign of things to come.
