We’re always on the lookout for new writers and blogs, and while we have a couple more great additions in the works, I wanted to take some time to welcome our two newest blogs to the network: The Uganda Cranes and Zen, Lacrosse and the Art of Stringing.
Both of these new blogs will feature eye-opening, thought provoking content, and both blogs stick with our principle of Growing The Game.
The Uganda Cranes will cover all things Uganda Lacrosse, where the sport is really taking off in a major way, thanks in large part to the work that Fields of Growth has done, and to the spirit of the Ugandans playing the game. There is a league for both men and for women in Kampala, and the Uganda Lacrosse Union hopes to be the first-ever African nation to compete in the FIL World Championships in 2014.
The Cranes blog will feature stories on the Uganda Lacrosse League, interviews and profiles featuring some of the nation’s players and Dream2014, amongst many other topics. Dream2014 is Uganda Lacrosse’s name for what they hope to accomplish in Denver at the World Games. The blog will be run primarily by Tyler Steinhardt, the General Manager for the Uganda Lacrosse Union.
The other blog I am excited to have on board is Zen, Lacrosse and the Art of Stringing. The knowledgeable Greg Rose will be manning this operation, and we just know he’s going to provide a wealth of stick stringing information. On top of that, Greg will be talking about all things lacrosse, and life, and we think everyone out there can benefit from his sometimes out there perspective! Greg is educated, opinionated and an honest cat. You’re going to dig his posts and upcoming epic journey.
What epic journey you may ask? You don’t know already? Well, allow me to fill you in.
Greg is raising funds to write a book, which will also be titled Zen, Lacrosse and the Art of Stringing. In order to create this piece of living art, Greg will be traveling the country, stringing sticks, talking to people, and learning as much as he can about lacrosse, life, and of course, stringing sticks.
Lacrosse All Stars is committed to helping Greg, and that means that 1) we hooked him up with his blog, and 2) that we are also running his fundraiser, and will be running more fundraisers in the future! Check out the Zen, Lacrosse and the Art of Stringing funding project, and prepare to be impressed!
Like I said earlier, we have a lot in the works, and we’re sure you’ll enjoy what we have coming down the pipeline. For now, check out The Uganda Cranes and Zen, Lacrosse and the Art of Stringing, and learn a little something about the world, your stick, our game, or yourself!
