Since MCLA.us has idled as nothing more than a splash page for the past few weeks, it’s been a struggle to find stats, schedules and other top-notch information about the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association since our all-mighty database is offline for now.
What else can we do but look back at the Semi-final and Final Rounds of the exciting MCLA National Tournament!
Semi-Final Round
DII: St. Thomas 12 vs Dayton 13
Dayton took on the defending DII champs, St. Thomas, and prevailed to get a spot in the Finals of the MCLA DII National Tournament.
DII: Concordia 15 vs Western Washington 8
Concordia and Western Washington knew this game would be a battle, with WWU having a high powered offense the Eagles knew their defense would be tested. Concordia’s defense was able to stall the Vikings offense enough to get a chance against Dayton in the Finals.
Final Round
DI: Colorado University 8 vs Grand Canyon University 9
I don’t think a single soul was surprised when Colorado made it to the finals for their second straight year.
Grand Canyon, on the other hand, was given a generous spot in the poll coming into 2015 but it seemed like no one thought they would ever hold up to their early ranking.
Most of us would have thought a bigger name school like Arizona State or Colorado State may have had a chance to beat the back-to-back champs. The Lopes from Grand Canyon had other plans and stole the National Title away from the Buffs to cap off the end of a monumental season.

DII: Concordia 11 vs Dayton 12
The Concordia Eagles were undefeated coming into the National Championship Final against Dayton. Completing an undefeated season would’ve been a great story but Dayton had other plans and claimed the DII title.
