Lacrosse News And Video Explosion

There is lots of good new lacrosse video out there today, and plenty of lacrosse news to talk about. So much of both that an Explosion was definitely due. The lacrosse news is diverse, and some of it is good, but the video? It’s all good. Get caught up and start your week off right!

Lacrosse News: Rambo Suspended Indefinitely

Matt Rambo, who scored 36 points for Maryland’s Men’s Lacrosse Team as a freshman in 2014, has been suspended indefinitely after being charged with assault. Student Assistant Coach Brian Cooper was also charged, and has been dismissed from the team. Rambo has been charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault charges as well as malicious destruction of property under $1,000. Cooper was also charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault. The incident allegedly took place within the 4500 block of College Avenue in the early hours of October 22nd.

Tom Corbett is the current Governor of Pennsylvania. The Republican politician has an inspiring story, and he also a lacrosse player. That has to help with some votes in PA! Lacrosse News: UNC & Duke Athletic Data

UNC and Duke have released athletics financial data on how their teams did revenue-wise. Both Duke men’s and women’s lacrosse generated more revenue than costs. UNC’s only two revenue producing sports were football and basketball.

Lacrosse News: VWC Responds to Rape Lawsuit

These lawsuits are usually ugly, and the above case does not seem to be any different. The plaintiff sued the school, and the school responded by blaming the victim. This case definitely has the potential to pick up steam in the media world, and as you can see in the article linked below, the fact that a lacrosse player was involved continues to be mentioned prominently. It makes my recent article on lacrosse players being painted as rapists by some in the media all the more relevant.
