Callum Crawford, Keegan Bal: Lacrosse Classified

On this edition of Lacrosse Classified, we have two guests who had big games in Week 3 of the NLL schedule. Callum Crawford and Keegan Bal join us on the show.

Callum Crawford, Keegan Bal: Lacrosse Classified

First up is Callum Crawford of the New England Black Wolves.  The veteran — who fell just short of the league scoring title last season — has been ripping it up in the NLL through two games again this year.  We talk about the Black Wolves’ success, the rise of Douggie Jamieson, Callum’s interesting flight to Saskatoon this past weekend and the success of his program in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Next up is Keegan Bal of the Vancouver Warriors who had 8 points in the Warriors win over the Riptide on Saturday.  Bal’s story is an interesting one in which two years ago, he found himself out of a job in the NLL and was playing Senior B lacrosse in St. Albert when he got the call from Dan Richardson of the Warriors to come to camp to try out.  The Warriors, who were looking for diamonds in the rough to build on their depth, embraced Bal, who repaid them with a 30 goal season in 2019, including a 14-point performance against Philadelphia in one game.

As always, we recap Week 3 in our Stampede Tack‘s Who We Had, we play #WhoYaGott where Evan and Jake are even in the standings again, news and notes, and in our G Wilson Construction Under Review, we explore a rule change which is still confusing teams, fans and officials alike in mucking the ball in the crease.

As always a big thank you to our sponsors Pure Vita Labs, the Vancouver Warriors, Associated Labels and Packaging, Stampede Tack and G Wilson Construction.
