Let’s take a look at what the Varsity Club Lacrosse boys think of the MCLA rankings for Week 9. Teams like Florida have been on a hot streak with only a few games left in their lacrosse season. How will nationals play out in the coming weeks?
Division I
1. Liberty
It’s been a month and a half since The Flames lost to Virginia Tech, and are now on a seven game win streak. This weekend they beat Pitt and West Virginia giving them sole possession of 1st in the ALC North.
2. Georgia Tech
The Jackets haven’t had a DI win since March 5th, but this weekend is probably their biggest game of the year. Not only are they playing their rival Georgia, but the Dawgs are also ranked 8th making this one of the biggest “Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate” games in the past couple of seasons.
3. Boston College
The Eagles had to cancel their games last week against South Carolina and NC State. This weekend they play CLC opponent Buffalo and Michigan State in Buffalo. Their only loss is to #14 FSU
4. Utah Valley
Only loss is to #1 Liberty, this weekend they have a big out of conference game against #16 Boise State. After that they have Georgia Tech and then three straight RMLC games against BYU, Colorado, and Colorado State.

Wolverines came out the dub!! 12-9 over Cal Poly. Great win!! #UVU #WOM
5. Florida
The Gators are 10-1 and they only have two games left in their season. This weekend they have UCF, a win against the Knights will put them 3-0 in SELC South going into their final game against FSU.
6. Virginia Tech
This past weekend they beat Tennessee to move to 3-0 in the ALC South. On 4/6 they have a huge OOC game at home against #10 Concordia Irvine.
7. San Diego State
At 7-0 they are the highest ranked undefeated team and are coming off a win against #15 Arizona in Tuscon. They have this weekend off before playing four straight SLC games to finish the season.
8. Georgia
The Dawgs haven’t beat Georgia Tech since 2013 in the SELC Championship Game, but this year is the best chance they have. They are sitting at 9-1 with a ranked win over #14 FSU.
9. Chapman
Chapman is 2-0 in the SLC, and play USC this week. A win can almost guarantee they’ll make the SLC Tournament
10. Concordia Irvine
The Eagles have two tough losses to #20 Arizona State and #21 Cal, but in almost every other game they’ve been dominant even against multiple ranked teams.

11. Northeastern
This weekend will be Northeastern third huge road trip as they travel down south to play at Auburn and at #2 Georgia Tech. After that they will play all four of their CLC games to end their season. Wins this weekend could set them up for at the very least an at large bid.
12. Simon Fraser
SFU has only played four games, but they’ve won all four on the road, the most recent being #13 BYU. This weekend they play UW in the States.
13. Brigham Young
The highest ranked three loss team. They’re currently on a two game losing streak, but have a chance to break it this weekend at home against #18 Cal Poly.
14. Florida State
The Noles started off 10-0, but have now dropped the last three to end the season including an SELC South game to Auburn. Their last game is against #5 Florida, a must win to get a #2 seed in the SELC Tournament.
15. Arizona
The Cats are coming off a home loss to SLC opponent #7 SDSU, but have a chance to bounce back this weekend against an unranked, but very good TCU.

Cal beat their rival, Stanford 22-7 this past weekend and look to keep it going this weekend against Sonoma State. They still have two other WCLL North games left after in Dominican and Nevada.
22. Southern Carolina
USC is 3-7, however they do have a win over #6 Virginia Tech. This weekend they have a huge game against #1 Liberty. While they can still win the SELC Tournament to get a Nationals bid, they need to win this to at least come close to getting an at-large bid.

The Owls have a ranked win over #21 NDSU, and have the biggest game of the season this weekend against Miami. A win gets them in the SELC Tournament.

23. Northern Arizona
They had big wins over UC Irvine and Biola this weekend. Look to get their first ranked win over #7 Utah State this weekend.
