Goalie Goal: 2019 Vail Shootout Day 4 Results

The 2019 Vail Lacrosse Shootout continued its 47th annual tournament with a conclusion of the older men’s divisions and a continuation of the high school divisions. The highlight of the day had to be the goalie goal by Laxachusetts goalkeeper Mac “Attack” Fotiades against Team Colorado in the first semifinal of the day. See the play below:

Goalie Goal by Mac “Attack Fotiades”

The Boys and Girls U19 divisions continued bracket play to decide who will face off in the final games tomorrow. The Girls teams each played two games to figure out placement for their final day tomorrow. There were several close games as teams were better matched. Big 4HHH barely won against Hero’s Green thanks to five big saves in the second half. Team 180 Yellow and Georgia Outlaws went back and forth during the first half with Team 180 pulling ahead by two at half. Georgia Outlaws came back after the break to tie it up, but Team 180 went on to pull out the win.

We had two adrenaline-filled semifinal games in the U19 Boys division at Ford Field. Team Colorado fought hard but came up short against Laxachusetts. The Laxachussets net-minder became the hero of the day when he went 90 yards cross-field and scored a goalie goal that changed the pace of the game. ADRLN Tropics looked very strong against the defending champion FCA. They controlled nearly the whole game and made a big statement heading into the Championship Bout tomorrow.
