Greg Bice and Kyle Sweeney Crush People

Editor’s Note: Trilogy Lacrosse, a Lacrosse All Stars partner, released a new series titled “Trilogy Lacrosse Theatre” to take a look back at memorable lacrosse moments caught on film that feature different members of the Trilogy crew. Episode 7 brings in some defensive heat with Greg Bice and Kyle Sweeney.

Who are Greg Bice and Kyle Sweeney?

The simple answer: two absolutely terrifying defensive pioneers of professional lacrosse.

Bice spent 13 seasons playing professional lacrosse before moving into the world of coaching and lacrosse programming through his own company, Resolute Lacrosse in Central Ohio. Prior to a dominant career in the MLL, Bice was a Texas transplant terrifying attackmen from the Ohio State defense.

What’s on the Tube?

Mitch Belisle, in his finest (and personal) throwback Riptide jersey, pulled a squad together to talk laying some lumber. With the whole gang back together it’s only appropriate to throw things back to the 2007 MLL Championship game between the LA Riptide and the Philadelphia Barrage. On the Riptide we’ve got Belisle and Bice squaring off with Sweeney and Ryan Boyle on the Barrage.

Spoiler: Bice and Belisle didn’t get to hold a trophy.

But, they did get in their licks. Boyle was on the landing end of an absolute blowup from Bice, and Bice has something to say about Boyle erasing the film from history. Conspiracy? There are no denials.

Go back in time with some of the nastiest men to ever wield a six foot pole.
