Tommy Gilligan is a fantastic photographer, who spends a lot of his freelance time shooting lacrosse. Lucky us! He’s also the Photo Editor and lead photojournalist for the USMA at West Point. He clearly knows the game like the back of his camera, and this allows him to capture those exciting shots that really portray the intensity of a great lacrosse game. And it shows in his work.
What’s even better is that you might be able to hire Tommy to come shoot your games! And then you might see his work used by the NFL. Pretty cool. And my guess is that he’ll do a great job, because this guy clearly knows his lax, and let’s face it, he’s a military guy! That’s quality. Or you could just buy some of his photos… they’d make great posters!
Hop was up by a couple, UNC came back to make it tight and then Hopkins pulled out the W 10-9. The best goals were in transition, but there was also some nice settled work by both squads. Both goalies also came up with big saves when their teams needed them, but Bassett looked like a potential goalie of the year candidate. This wasn’t a knockout performance by him, BUT it was a huge stage, and he delivered when needed to.
Thanks for sending these over, Tommy! And keep up the top notch work!
