Lacrosse GIFs: NLL Week 6

Hey there, sports fans! It’s time once again for Lacrosse GIFs! We take five of the most monumental moments from the last week of lacrosse action and try to describe them in one GIF. Hilarity ensues. General merriment and lacrosse cheer breaks out. Things such as world peace and world hunger are solved. You get the idea.

This week we are featuring five moments from Week 6 of the National Lacrosse League, including Jordan Durston’s ‘Durty Goal’, the incredible finish between the San Diego Seals and Vancouver Warriors and much, much more!

So, let’s dive in…

Lacrosse GIFs: NLL Week 6

No. 1: Wild Finish in Vancouver

The Seals – Warriors game featured an incredible finish that left Seals fans celebrating and Warriors fans feeling a bit down. As time expired, Mitch Jones let loose a wide-open shot near the net that barely trickled past Scigliano. However, the ball had some crazy spin on it, which caused it to veer just to the outside of the goalie’s left post.

Seriously. It was crazy:

Let’s take a closer look at the fans in the arena:

No. 2: Jordan Durston’s ‘Durty’ Goal

This goal just reeked of testosterone. Jordan Durston took on three defenders (one handed, literally) and still managed to bury the ball in the back of the net. See the goal below:

We swear we’ve seen something like this before:

No. 3: Fight! Fight! Fight!

There haven’t been as many fights this NLL season as in years past, something that we’re OK with. However, there was a fight at the San Diego Seals game as they took on the Warriors, in which Austin Staats was getting hacked and hammered everywhere he went. Finally, Brodie Merrill had enough:

Let’s have a look from another angle:

No. 4: Garrett Billings Joins 600-Point Club (And Lacrosse GIFs Adoration)

Garrett Billings joined the 600-point club on Saturday night against Vancouver. It’s great to see Billings putting up big numbers this season, this time in a San Diego jersey.

Garrett, we salute you:

No. 5: Swarm Lose First (And Second) Game of the Season

The Swarm surprisingly lost both of their games in their doubleheader this past weekend after going 4-0 to start the season. It was probably only a matter of time before they picked up a loss, but to lose both in the same weekend was a bit unusual for the Swarm.

We have no doubt they will get things figured out and back on track this coming week.
