Today on the GameChanger Lacrosse podcast we have Coach Laura Brand Sias, who at the time was the head women’s lacrosse coach at Rutgers University.
Coach Brand graduated from Rutgers University and has finished on her 17th season as the head coach of Rutgers Lacrosse. Since she took over as head coach in 2003 her teams have appeared in six Big Ten Conference Championships. Coach Brand came to Rutgers after one season as head coach at Fairfield University where she led the Stags to a 10 – 7 overall record.
Coach Brand and I got a chance to talk about a lot of things like her time as the youngest head coach in all of the NCAA, some of her trials by fire, communicating her expectations, asking more of her players and much more.
Coach Brand has since stepped down from her position.
