MLL All-Star Recap: Best Moments

This week, it was Major League Lacrosse‘s turn for the national spotlight as the league held its 17th All-Star game at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Read on for our MLL All-Star recap!

MLL All-Star Recap

Top Play

Lyle Thompson’s Game Winner

What more can we say about one of the GOATs? Lyle Thompson is an incredible player. Brendan Sunday handling the pass and burying was pretty good, too. This play to win it in overtime had getting as hyped as Paul Carcaterra gets broadcasting college lacrosse.

You Be The Judge!

Better Goal Or Celly?

Well, which is it? Celly was pretty good. The goal maybe a bit better. Let us know at @laxallstars on social media.

Save And/Or A Miss!

Alright, so… Dillon Ward was credited by the folks running the MLL’s Twitter account with the above save. This is absolutely no disrespect to Dillon Ward — who in my opinion is the best overall goalie in the world right now — but I don’t think he actually got a piece of it. It’s possible he did. It was probably just the intimidation factor that scared the shot away.

We’ll have to send this one into our review office in Secaucus, New Jersey, but we’re pretty sure we’re right. Cool looking play anyway.

MVP! MVP! Er… MLL All-Star Player Of The Game!

Dylan Molloy was named Player of the Game for the 2019 MLL All-Star game. He had an impressive five goal, one assist performance in what was a fun contest to watch.

Here’s our question though… couldn’t we just call it the game MVP? It sounds more big-time to us.
