PLL Announces All-Star Attendance & Viewership

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announced today an attendance total of 8,189 for the inaugural PLL All-Star Game that was held July 21st at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. Sunday’s game (5PM PT – 7PM PT) averaged a Total Audience Delivery of 128,000 across NBCSN, and the NBC Sports app – making it the most-watched and highest rated NBCSN PLL telecast ever. Additionally, Sunday’s telecast marked the fourth consecutive week of viewership growth on NBCSN PLL broadcasts.

The first-ever PLL-All Star game saw the league’s forty top players match up in a battle between teams captained by stars Matt Rambo and Trevor Baptiste. Adorned in innovative adidas tie-dye All-Star jerseys, the players from Team Baptiste and Team Rambo captivated fans with electric skills and goals – the most notable being an “around the world” assist from Paul Rabil to set up a Will Manny score in the first quarter. Team Baptiste goalie Jack Concannon wound up taking home the inaugural All-Star Game MVP Award after leading his squad to a 17-16 victory.

Following the conclusion of the game, fans were immediately treated to the official Skills Challenge that included Fastest Shot, adidas Freestyle Challenge, Goalie Competition, Fastest Player, and the vineyard vines Accuracy Challenge. Skills Competition action was highlighted by Justin Guterding winning the adidas Freestyle Challenge with moves that wowed a panel of judges that featured NFL Hall of Famer and current PLL Ambassador Jim Brown.

The numerous dazzling highlights during the All Star Game led to the most single day viewership on PLL social all season – with over 1.1 million views on PLL channels on Sunday evening. Paul Rabil’s spectacular assist generated 400k combined views on Instagram and Twitter alone while also being the #2 play on SportsCenter’s nightly Top 10.

PLL regular season play will resume this weekend with three games scheduled to take place at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver, CO. The weekend will start with a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 3PM MT. The early game will see former University of Denver standout Trevor Baptiste and his Atlas LC teammates face off against the red-hot Redwoods LC. Following that game’s conclusion, Chaos LC will battle Whipsnakes LC. The action will culminate on Sunday with a matchup between Archers LC and Chrome LC at 2PM MT.
