As if lacrosse all star Paul Rabil‘s signature equipment line wasn’t cool enough, Warrior recently took it up a notch with the release of a limited edition “Super Color” series of Rabil 2 lacrosse heads. Available in an assortment of bold, faded colorways, we had to go with royal blue for this week’s LaxAllStars.com Giveaway!
Opting for the traditional pocket as always, we looked no further than our friends at Stringer’s Shack for flat crosslace and trusty sidewall string that pops.
Think of flat crosslace as your normal round white crosslace but smushed or flattened so much that the flat shape has become permanent. The flat crosslace – or “flatlace,” which we’ll call it from here-on-out – from Stringer’s Shack is super high-quality, feeling soft and pliable while also thick and stronger than anything else out there on the market.
In this case, the flatlace was used for the Rabil 2 pocket’s center track as well as the adjacent diamonds, connecting the four handcrafted leather laces together. Meanwhile, sidewalls feature intricate coils and tight diamonds to help maintain a firm structure. And one more thing: this pocket is 100% removable. So if you win and you just so happen to prefer mesh to traditional, you can easily remove the traditional pocket and save it until we change your mind.
