You hang it, they bang it. There’s plenty of goal highlights out there, but there’s not enough footage in circulation of your heroes of yesteryear getting absolutely yard-saled by a bruiser with quick hands. This should be a lesson in stick protection to everyone out there. You’re never safe.
A lot of this defensive destruction was pulled from Memorial Day Weekend highlights in the Lax Film Study vault. There are plenty of booming stick checks on the horizon, stay tuned for future Throwback Thursdays. We know Syracuse pops up a lot, so we included some clips of the Orange getting thrashed too. Fair is fair.

There’s really nothing like a dive into the Lax Film Study vault to remind yourself of how the game really hasn’t changed that much. Even with flat heads with no pockets, a lot of these guys could hang with the best of today. You gotta study the game to know the game.
