Colorado Wins National Title, Ends Arizona State’s Perfect Season
A late run by No. 1 Arizona State was not enough to defeat No. 2 Colorado in the 2014 MCLA Division I national championship game, as the Buffs captured their first title in a 13-12 win over the previously undefeated Sun Devils. Led by tournament MVP Riley Seidel’s six points, Colorado broke open a 5-5 halftime tie to lead 13-8 early in the fourth before ASU’s comeback attempt.
Orange County Product Cranston Powers Colorado through Semis
Orange County has played host to many players returning home for the 2014 MCLA National Championships, but none have had bigger games than Colorado’s Jack Cranston. Cranston, from nearby Santa Margarita, Calif., led his No. 2 Buffs team to a 12-10 victory over No. 6 UC Santa Barbara in the semifinals to earn a shot at the MCLA Division I championship on Saturday.
MCLA Complete Viewing Guide – Championship Games
Finally, the MCLA National Championship games are nigh. Tomorrow, May 17th, four universities will play in two games to decide the National Champions of the MCLA Division I and II. The Division II game starts at noon and the Division I game will begin immediately after at 3.
