Things are really getting crazy. Puzzling losses are all over, some teams have finally found themselves, and we are gaining better clarity for how the postseason will start to take shape. I love this time of year!

This is getting ridiculous. The good teams are looking bad, the bad teams are looking good, and the average teams are doing both. There is a major lack of consistency, and that is really showing in the double digit poll spots.
Panthers Pounce to Top of MCLA DI Coaches Poll
On the strength of 17 first place votes, Chapman has surged into the top spot of the Under Armour MCLA Division I Weekly Coaches Poll. The Panthers defeated SLC North foe USC on Sunday, propelling Chapman past new No. 2 Utah (8-0), which was idle this week.

Usually, the top 20 teams are relatively easy to figure out, with some tough decisions around 20. Right now, it’s not clear at all. I was talking to one fellow voter about this difficult situation, and they summed it up nicely. You’re forced to rate volume of wins against strength of schedule.

Ranking High School Lacrosse Teams: Why?
There are a couple of polls out there that attempt to rank the Top 20 or Top 25 US high school lacrosse teams, and when you look at it as an extension of the NCAA Top 20 polls, it seems to make some initial sense, but when you look a little deeper, the rationale begins to fall apart pretty quickly. Why do we rank high school lacrosse teams nationally in ONE ranking system? Heck, why do we even rank them at all?
