With a brand new professional box lacrosse league entering the scene in 2022. We thought it would be helpful to gather everything we know about the Professional Box Lacrosse Association (PBLA) and put it one place.
This page will be updated weekly as we learn more and more about the Professional Box Lacrosse Association.
The League
As stated on the PBLA website “Our game will be faster, more physical, and provide non-stop crowd-pleasing action that will surely take the professional lacrosse game to the next level.”. That’s a bold statement by the league but keep reading and you’ll see how they plan on following through.

- Dallas Eliuk will run a goalie training camp to catch the goalies up on technique/style
- Ability to choose between a penalty served or a penalty shot.
- 2 minute penalty or: 1 penalty shot
- 5 minute penalty or: 1 penalty shot and 2 minutes time served
- Substitutions through the offensive end of the bench
- Encourages 2-way players, penalizes teams that sub during transition
Americans
Rosters are primarily American players, giving them the opportunity to showcase their athleticism despite not having years of technical box lacrosse training.
Fans First
The PBLA teams will look to make game day feel a little different by featuring block parties and unique fan experience opportunities before, during, and after the game.
