The New England Black Wolves are bringing a new wolf to town. This one isn’t going to be scoring any goals or laying big hits. Instead, he’ll be cheering them on from the sidelines and creating memorable moments with fans.
There’s only one problem right now, the Black Wolves need help naming their new mascot. Once he gets his name, the wolf will be on the prowl amongst the fans and hanging out in the Mohegan Sun Arena so he can watch his favorite team play.
New England has put some rules on this contest, so make sure you pay attention.
- You must be between Kindergarten and 6th grade to enter.
- You must enter your name before January 11th.
- Make sure your teacher emails firstname.lastname@example.org and includes: student’s name, mascot name, student’s grade, teacher’s name, school, and email.
- Get your free ticket for January 15th’s home opener when the mascot’s name is revealed.
When you attend the game on the 15th as the winner of the contest, you will get to go onto the field and be recognized before the game AND you get to have a pizza party in class with the mascot!
If this isn’t something you’re interested in, you’re fooling yourself. When you win, you get to say you named a pro-sports franchise’s mascot, that’s a claim to fame right there. Plus a pizza party, life doesn’t get much better than eating pizza in school.
For more information or any questions, you can contact the New England Black Wolves at 844.LAX.WOLF or email email@example.com.
Saskatchewan also recently hosted a similar contest to name their new Bulldog mascot and Georgia is renaming Buzz Swarm thanks to a fan contest. All three franchises will reveal the newly named mascots at their first home games.
