We’re back with a new Stick Trick Saturday. The first snowfall of the season hit Moscow, Idaho and a problem started arising that is prevalent in cold conditions, cold hands. Cold hands can cause many problems for stick handlers. These drills will work on your hand speed as well as keeping them warm, loose, and ready for the conditions. Welcome, “The Hand Warmer”.

Hot Pot: How To Spend 10,000 Hours

The 10,000 hour rule is an interesting concept. Malcolm Gladwell raised the idea a number of times in the book Outliers, and the theory basically states than any “master” of a particular discipline has put in at least 10,000 hours of dedicated work to learn and perfect their skill set within that discipline. While the exact number of hours is still up for debate, and further statistical analysis is needed, I am confident that the overall point stands: The truly great put in the hours and the effort in order to be truly great.

Rabil, Queener, Seibald: Wimmer Stick Tricks

One of the Japanese attendees of last year’s Hawai’i Tournament caught the Wimmer boys “warming up” for an early round game.
