Spotted: Huarache 5 Lacrosse Cleats in the NFL

Editor’s note: Welcome to another installment of “Spotted,” where we shine a light on lacrosse spotted in unexpected places, such as on TV, in a movie, or even in real life. Be sure to drop us a line if you spot the beautiful sport of lacrosse in a place you didn’t expect.

In this week’s edition of Spotted we have another sighting from the old NFL. You think there’s a trend starting? The new Huarache 5s have been spotted on the Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor (not EJ Manuel). Thanks to Texas State head coach and Bills die-hard Mike Brand for helping us spot these.

The fact that lacrosse cleats are becoming more popular in the NFL is great! It’s reassuring to lacrosse players knowing that the same lacrosse cleats they wear are also worn by some of the world’s greatest (and highest paid) athletes.

This is the first time I have seen these cleats in action (not in the Thompson black) and I have to say they look really great! Normally I’m not a fan of 2-way color patterns on cleats but I would rock these this coming season for sure.

Who knows, maybe someday more football players will wear lacrosse cleats than lacrosse players wearing football cleats. I can do my part as long as I can get my hands on a pair of Huarache 5 cleats for this upcoming season.
