After playing each other Saturday, the Adanacs will host the Shamrocks for their third and final meeting this season. With the first game between the two clubs ending in a 9-9 tie, a crucial two points is up for grabs as both teams fight for a better position in the standings and a more favorable draw heading into the post season. With Coquitlam sitting in second with 29 points, and Victoria currently in third with 23, it is probable these two teams will face each other in the first round of the 2014 BCJALL playoffs.

Mann Cup: Chiefs Win 8-3, Tie Series

The Six Nations Chiefs won a pivotal Game 4 on Vancouver Island last night over the Victoria Shamrocks 8-3. The win tied the best of seven series at two gams apiece, and the five goal winning margin is the largest one we’ve seen in the four games so far. It looked like it was going to be another super tight game after a 2-2 first period, but Six Nations came out hot in the second, and pulled away.

With an 8-6 win on Monday night on Vancouver Island, the Victoria Shamrocks now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series over the Six Nations Chiefs. The winner of the series is crowned champion of Senior Men’s Lacrosse in Canada, and gets to hoist the monstrous Mann Cup.

The Six Nations Chiefs won Game 2 of the Mann Cup last night, 10-8, over the Victoria Shamrocks, and that evens the series at one win apiece, as the Shamrocks took Game 1 in a low-scoring 5-4 win. The two teams are starting to figure each other out a bit more, and the offensive production saw a marked increase. With some much offensive talent on the floor, it was only a matter of time!

The Victoria Shamrocks have punched their tickets to the Mann Cup Finals and are set to face The Six Nations Chiefs. Victoria knocked off two-time reigning WLA champions, the Langley Thunder. The Six Nations Chiefs swept the Brooklin Redmen four games to none and have been eagerly awaiting to see who they will do battle with – and they finally have their answer. Six Nations touched down in Victoria yesterday afternoon and are set to begin the series this Friday.
