Video: Wesleyan Beats Colby At The Buzzer

wesleyan_lacrosse

Wesleyan Men’s Lacrosse hosted Colby College on April 6th, 2013 and this game came down to the wire. Colby went up by a couple of goals early, then Wesleyan fought back, eventually tying the game at 12 goals apiece.

With 30 seconds left, Colby had possession, but Wesleyan forced a turnover, pushed the ball down field and, with only a second or two left, Graham Mcnab found Quentin DellaFera cutting to the crease, and DellaFera finishes with a low bounce shot to win it for the Cardinals.

GREAT Nescac game between these two teams, and as exciting a finish as you can ask for in regulation. Wesleyan moves to 8-2 on the year, while Colby slipped to 4-5 with the loss. The Mules dropped to 4-6 the next day with a surprise loss to Trinity. Wesleyan travels to Eastern CT State on April 10th, while Colby plays Southern Maine.
