Sean McGonigle, a Syracuse Lacrosse alum, and current star of the Chronicles of McGonigle over on IL, headed back up to the Carrier Dome for the Orange’s recent game against Notre Dame. As you can see below, the trip back to a big D1 school for a huge game by an alum is just a little different than when I do something like that. He checks in with Roy Simmons, Jr, talks to some fans, takes in the game and makes it an experience. The portion with RS Jr. is, as expected, top notch.
If there is a guy who could emerge as a lacrosse community star outside of the more traditional “Paul Rabil” channels, it’s McGonigle. The guy is a character, but he also has character. You can see it in every frame of the video. Sean passionately loves lax and can relate to people… and that’s the kind of thing our sport needs more of!
So check out McGonigle’s trip back to the House of Pain: the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY.
