2018 FIL World Championships: See our top photos from the world games

The 2018 FIL World Championships was definitely one for the books. We saw relatively new international teams such as Puerto Rico and the Philippines explode for top-10 finishes at the games, to the usual suspects in the United States and Canada compete for the gold medal match.

LaxAllStars put together one of the most incredible teams to cover the world games this last summer, and we want to share a little bit of our work. Check out our video highlights on our YouTube page, our written content and our top photo selections below.

If you’ve never been to a world championship, it is a must for any bucket list. The quality of play, the unifying aspect of lacrosse across cultures and the excitement that comes from it are second-to-none in this sport. The next opportunity to see the world games will be in Coquitlam, British Columbia. That means that the United States’ neighbors to the north will have home-field advantage, as they look to avenge their last-second loss to the U.S. in the gold medal match in 2018.

Like we said, we had some of the best in the business at this tournament. We had some incredible photographers such as Ryan and Katie Conwell shooting for us, and they did not disappoint with what they captured. Other outstanding photographers such as Marek Stor grabbed some great shots as well.
