With an 8-6 win on Monday night on Vancouver Island, the Victoria Shamrocks now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series over the Six Nations Chiefs. The winner of the series is crowned champion of Senior Men’s Lacrosse in Canada, and gets to hoist the monstrous Mann Cup.

Fall Ball Lacrosse Action: Round One

It is the fall season, one of wonder and excitement. The Mann Cup is going strong, the NLL is still a ways off, and college teams are really starting to get down to business. Let’s take a look in at some of the teams across the country, and how they are prepping for the Spring of 2014!

The Addicted Lax Dad: Past, Present, And Future

Lee Southren started the NJ Riot 2016 club team, and it is quickly morphing into something bigger. This growth has put Lee in a new position as the man running a club team. It is a big switch from being the man who is used to questioning club teams! Read about Lee’s experiences as a club administrator, and how it made him think of his own actions as an addicted Lax Dad.

Monday Night Memories: Randy Remembers The Rough Stuff

Randy Fraser was playing for the Boston Blazers in the 1990s, and when I found the above footage of a CRAZY MILL box lacrosse brawl, I knew I needed to get Randy’s take on the video. It turns out he uploaded it to YouTube, and played in the game, so there really is no one better suited to regale us with a quality story!

Chile And Lacrosse: An Unlikely Pair

Editor’s Note: “Lacrosse” and “Chile” have never been two words that are often used together. An incredibly diverse country full of generous and interesting people, Chile is home to numerous world-famous natural wonders and distinctive landscapes. The nation also possesses a tumultuous political history, and it deals with devastating earthquakes. At first glance, it may seem […]

Shooting Tips With Bocklet and Stanwick

Peter Carey put up a video on YouTube featuring Chris Bocklet and Steele Stanwick talking about shooting and scoring goals, and it’s time to listen up, because these guys are two of the better shooters and scorers to ever come out of Virginia! Bocklet tells a great story about being forced to re-learn proper mechanics once he got to college, and Steele like to pretend his stick is a paint brush… why? It’s all about painting pipes!

16 Minutes of Video: 2013 Mann Cup

The Six Nations Chiefs won Game 2 of the Mann Cup last night, 10-8, over the Victoria Shamrocks, and that evens the series at one win apiece, as the Shamrocks took Game 1 in a low-scoring 5-4 win. The two teams are starting to figure each other out a bit more, and the offensive production saw a marked increase. With some much offensive talent on the floor, it was only a matter of time!

The Beauty of The Face Off Battle

I was out in Syosset, Long Island, recently and took in a FoGoLax.net camp. I’ll have more from the camp in the next week, but for now I wanted to share some great video I got from the session. It’s just face offs, up close and personal. It might look like an ugly scrap from afar, but up close the Face Off battle is a work of art, and something to behold.

1988 JR A Box Lacrosse Video Is Amazing

I am always impressed by the stick handling of these players, and although I was 8 years old when this game took place, it still looks like it’s from a different time and place. I guess 25 years IS a different time and place… Maybe it’s just me, but I still think it is amazing how much the game can change, and even more shocking that it can do so in such a short period of time.

Hot Pot: Team USA Gripes & Video

When it comes to legitimate Team USA training team selection gripes… I actually don’t have any. Sure, a couple of my personal favorites got cut, and while Kevin Rowen wasn’t perfect with his predictions, he sure was close! At the end of the day, it’s hard to really complain about the guys who are moving on to the second round. They might not be YOUR best 52, and they might not be mine, but we’re also not coaching the team…

Reactions To Team USA Naming 52 Man Squad

Team USA mens lacrosse tryouts

Below you can find the 52 men who made their way onto the next round of Team USA try outs.  If this were the NFL, every man on the US training roster would be breathing a sigh of relief, knowing they had made the final cut. Thankfully, this isn’t football, and that means we still […]
