What a great weekend of D1 action. The Princeton Tigers are oficially back after putting the hurt on Hopkins over the weekend and I got to watch it all in glorious HD on ESPNU. Lacrosse is made for HD. I missed the ‘Cuse vs. Virgina game but Quint Kessenich (lacrosse broadcaster and power ranker extraordinaire) makes it seem pretty exciting. Lacrosse is alive and well in Nebraska

Think that lacrosse is only relevant on the coasts? Think again. The Creighton Bluejays lacrosse program in Omaha, Nebraska has been a constant contender in the MCLA Division 2 for the past four years and recently completed a sweep of Division 1 opponent Iowa and fellow D2 team DePaul on their first weekend of action.

“Make me a bicycle, clown!” OR “We’ve landed on the moon!”

I guess when you’re the play-by-play guy for a hockey team in Florida it’s neccesary to spice up the broadcast a little bit.  Tropical weather and ice don’t really go together but Randy Moller makes it work by screaming quotes from comedies like “Wedding Crashers” and “Old School” after goals.
