Hobart made the trip over to the Dome in Syracuse and knocked off the Orange, who are widely considered to be a Top 5 team. This is a huge win for Hobart, who now sits at 6-6 on the season. They won the game 13-12 despite losing in a number of statistical areas.

I don’t know what it is about the year 2013 for me, but something is different. Maybe it’s just that I’m older now, or that I’m coaching and writing more than ever. Perhaps I’ve just been exposed to “enough” lacrosse at this point in my life. The point is, I can’t help but look at the game a little differently now, and this becomes more true day by day.

The Eagle Academy Lacrosse Team is off to a good start in its first year as a Developmental Program within New York City’s PSAL (Public School Athletic League). The team has had lower numbers than either of its opponents (usually about half as many: 30 vs 15), but has played very competitively so far.
