The Best Iroquois Nationals Documentary of 2014

If this isn’t the most visually appealing, impactful and all around informative documentary focusing on the Iroquois Nationals, then I have no idea what is.

U-verse does incredible work when it comes to lacrosse, they did a fantastic job with their piece on John Tavares that they did earlier in the year, I just wish we got to see more from them.

Just recently they released Part 1 of 3 on the Iroquois Nationals and their trip to Denver, Colorado for the 2014 World Lacrosse Championship.

You get an inside look at the home life of the Thompson family, behind the scenes access to the World Games and fantastic insight from guys like Sid Smith, Cody Jamieson, Oren Lyons and much more!

The part that captures the true essence of the international lacrosse community is when New Zealand explained their native Haka to the Iroquois before performing their invitation to war for the men from Six Nations. The two cultures share a similar bond and the Iroquois were honored to witness the Haka and return with their own song and dance.

The quick ceremony took place before the World Games even began and set the tempo for both teams in the event.

I encourage you to watch Part 1 for yourself and to share amongst those who are new to lacrosse and those who are seasoned vets. I personally can’t wait for the next two chapters!
