Switzerland Vs New Zealand – NZ by 1.5 goals – Switzerland won 9-6, covering with a win!
Czech Republic Vs France – CZE by 5.5 goals – Czechs won 14-7, beating spread by 1.5 goals
Italy Vs Philippines – PHI by 2.5 goals – Philippines won 12-11. Italy covered by 1.5 goals
Norway Vs Latvia – LAT by 1.5 goals – Latvia won 9-8. Norway covered by .5 goals
Spain Vs Denmark – SPA by 1.5 goals – Spain won 12-7, beating the spread by 3.5 goals

Puerto Rico Vs Japan – JAP by 1.5 goals – Puerto Rico won 14-8, covering with a win!
Hats off to Switzerland, Slovakia, and Puerto Rico for winning when I thought they’d lose. The Swiss earned a win with great D, Slovakia held tough to squeak by Argentina’s comeback effort (that was an amazing last couple of minutes!), and Puerto Rico had Japan rattled from the start, to garner a huge win for a first year participant!
Tuesday Blue Division FIL Lacrosse Lines
Canada Vs Australia – CAN by 16.5 goals – Canada won 13-7. Australia covered the spread
USA Vs England – USA by 13.5 goals – USA won 19-2, beating the spread by 3.5 goals
Iroquois Vs Scotland – IRO by 9.5 goals – Iroquois won 14-7. Scotland covered by 2.5 goals
I went 16-3 today with my picks, and that brings me to 96 our of 107 games predicted correctly. 90%? Good enough, but I’m hoping to bring that number up a bit and really nail the last could of days. I also predicted six games out of 19 within 2 goals of the end result. Not stellar, but not terrible. But definitely not stellar.
Day 8 FIL Lacrosse Lines
The playoffs are well under way for the lower pool group teams, and the Blue Division wrapped up today, with the US finishing in 1st, Canada 2nd, Iroquois 3rd, Australia 4th, England 5th, and Scotland 6th.
Now we get to the really big games, as teams try to move up in the standings with continued wins. Wear and tear, depth, experience, and match ups all gain even more importance now. It’s only getting more challenging to make good predictions! I love a good challenge. I’ll try not to screw it up too badly.
