Iroquois in The World Games, Pro Tourneys – Going Offsides Podcast

Going Offsides Episode 8 hosts Ryan Kuhn and Nick Zoroya discuss The World Games 2020 in Birmingham, Alabama, and the event’s decision to exclude the Iroquois Nationals from their event. The pair explain the process leading up to the decision, why the decision probably occurred, and how to remedy the situation.

Later on Going Offsides, they discuss how the PLL Championship Series is going thus far, how that compared to the previous week’s MLL tournament, and the new players making news in the league.

Finally, the duo talk about Matt Gaudet and his style of play, the future of the MLL, and the peculiar choice to use a new ball in the MLL tournament.

Friday’s Games

A back-to-back affair for three of the four teams showing up on Thursday. At the bottom of the PLL, the Waterdogs can really use the boost of a long break to come out against a capable Chrome team.

Chaos versus Whipsnakes will only be interesting if Chaos can get their offensive woes ironed out. The lack of two-man game and distractions away from Sergio Salcido is causing them to sink in the quicksand. If they don’t start working some of that box lacrosse magic in the first quarter, Whips can absolutely run up the scoresheet. If Blaze Riorden stays rock solid between the irons, Chaos certainly has a chance.
