Jarrod Neumann Crushes Twinkies Like 2-Pointers

Editor’s Note: Trilogy Lacrosse, a Lacrosse All Stars partner, released a new series titled “Trilogy Lacrosse Theatre” to take a look back at memorable lacrosse moments caught on film that feature different members of the Trilogy crew. Episode 3 features Jarrod Neumann breaking down his monumental first season in the Premier Lacrosse League and a particular Twinkie eating contest. Enjoy.

Who is Jarrod Neumann?

Flying under the radar through his college career at Providence, Jarrod Neumann put together a breakout season in the inaugural run of the PLL. The Chaos longpole made his name known after wreaking havoc on both ends of the field, chopping up attackman and amongst the league-leaders in the two-point shot. His electric performance earned Neumann the right to claim the first-ever Dave Pietramala Defensive Player of the Year award. Usually covering the top scorer of the other team, Neumann claimed the second spot in long balls as a shooter last season with 5 total.

What’s on the Tube?

Mitch Belisle is back for round three and joined by the legendary Matt Striebel and the mobile monster Jarrod Neumann. Striebel tells an interesting story about Neumann’s lure into the game of lacrosse and the opinion of college coaches watching his raw talent. Was it really a bribe that hooked the kid? You do what you’ve got to do. Now, Neumann is one of the most terrifying longpoles in the PLL and absolutely shredding scoresheets with his 2-point rips.

From camp eating contests to gunning the long ball, what can’t Neumann turn into a highlight reel?
